The Organizational Systems Method

From friction to flow, by design.

I created this method from 20+ years of seeing the same challenges across Fortune 50 and high-growth organizations. It turns pattern recognition and systems design into a repeatable path you can execute.

Step 1

The Organizational X-Ray™

Clarity over complexity.

See what's really happening beneath the surface of your organization.

Assess across 12 Qualities of Effective Organizations, identify which Symptom Clusters are draining performance, and create your Organizational Flow Map to reveal how work actually moves.

You'll understand root causes, not just symptoms.

Step 2

Pattern Recognition

Insight before action.

Match what we find to proven solutions, no generic playbooks.

Together we identify organizational patterns, prioritize for maximum impact, and build your custom 90-day transformation roadmap with strategic sequencing: what to fix first, second, third, and so on.

Step 3

Systematic Treatment

Design over default.

Rebuild the systems that keep everything running smoothly: team structure, goals, operating rhythms, and cross-functional partnerships.

You get foundations that support autonomy, efficiency, and clear decision-making instead of short-term fixes.

Step 4

Sustainable Excellence

People over process.

Build internal capability so transformation sticks.

We embed Operating Principles, establish measurement systems that track real progress, and create maintenance protocols: monthly health checks and quarterly recalibration.

Your team learns to diagnose and improve independently.

Why this works

How teams work is as important as what they make.

That's the system most leaders don't see. And you can't fix what you can't see. The method makes the invisible friction visible, then fixes it at the source, not with slides, but with operating systems your leaders can sustain.

VELOCITY vs. traditional consulting

How is Velocity Co different from management consulting firms?

I've done the work from the inside, not from a PowerPoint deck. As Global VP at Expedia Group and Capital One, Executive Director at Chase, and senior leader at Microsoft, I scaled organizations from 30 to 12,000+ people. I didn't advise on organizational design. I built it, broke it, fixed it, and scaled it. Traditional consulting firms diagnose from outside and hand you a strategy deck. I focus on organizational systems, the invisible infrastructure that determines whether your strategy succeeds or stalls. Bottom line: practitioner-level expertise at 10–20% of consulting firm costs, with someone accountable for results, not just recommendations.
